We got out of work early on Friday and went home to pack for Boston. Finally left the house about 3:30. We had already decided not to drive straight through to Boston on the first night and to spend the night in Albany. We arrived in Albany just about 7:45 and went to the mall down the road from our hotel. I had been there a few times before at various times because of different meetings that I have to go to in Albany for work. This got us out and walking around for a bit after being stuck in the car. Checked into our hotel after the mall.
Saturday, we had our continental breakfast and shared a table with a nice man from Indiana. Girls talked to him for a bit. Got on the road and drove to our hotel in Brockton, Massachusetts. Our hotel was just about 25 miles south of Boston and right near a shopping plaza and lots of restaurants so finding food was very easy, which was good because we were all starving!!
On our way again - to the new Bass Pro Store in Foxboro right next door to the Gillette Stadium, where the New England Patriots play. This is also where the MLS (Major League Soccer) team, New England Revolution plays and we were going there next!! Back to Bass Pro....what a store!! We had so much fun in there!!!
The store from the outside is huge and looks like all "outdoorish" if that is a word. We walk in and the girls couldn't look around fast enough. There was stuff hanging from the ceiling and animal noises. We went to the fishing area first where there was a real pond area with a moose standing in the middle of water with real fish and turtles swimming around. A cave with a stuffed bear. There is another aquarium with huge fish in it that has a chart to identify the fish.
The girls got up on a bunch of the boats and pretended to drive them. There were tons of them and all different types to walk onto. They tried out sitting on the ATVs and next onto the camping area that was huge!! We had to ride the glass elevator back up to the 2nd floor, of course, and look through the toys. After the toys, we went to the shooting range. This was the highlight for all of us. Put quarters in and shoot at the targets to get points. So much fun. The store had a restaurant, too. (We didn't eat there.)
There is a pond out back that you could look at through telescopes right next to the snack area. We decided to have a quick snack after seeing it was just about time to leave.

How cool. Wow, Tatum's hair is sooo long, wavy, & pretty. You can really tell in thoose pics. Syd looks like she's having fun in the go-kart-thingy-ma-bobber. That store must have been HUGE (Hu-gah, Rocester, HUGE!). lol.
