Godfrey's Pond (July 6th, 2008)

We were a little tired for church this morning after the party and Dave and I had the nursery this morning. A room full of two-year-olds is just what you need after staying up too late to make you appreciate how not young you are anymore....ha ha ha. The funny thing is that we usually have about 4-5 adults and anywhere from 12-20 two-year-olds. This morning there were 5 nursery workers and two two-year-olds. Since Dave's mom was in the service visiting, we were able to leave and go sit with her and enjoy the service. That was so great!!! What a nice gift that ended up to be that we weren't expecting.

After church we went back to our house to pack up our lunch and some other items. We were to meet Grandma Al, Uncle Carl, and Dillon at Godfrey's Pond for a late lunch.

Dave was cooking while us ladies were gabbing. Sydney and Dillon were busy catching tadpoles and crayfish in the little stream while Tatum and Uncle Carl were playing bocce ball.

We think Tatum may have been cheating....

After lunch and cooking up some smores, we went fishing.

Everyone caught a bunch of fish but Dillon caught fish and the extra special catch....a big knot.

Tatum's big excitement was the baby squirrel that was trying to cross the bridge. It kept running up a little closer to her and then she would run away and so would the squirrel. Both would get the courage to try again. She would creep back and so would the baby squirrel. This went on for some time...at least until we ran out of worms.
