We did lots of stuff around the house all day getting ready for the party the next day. Mostly cleaning up and setting up since we hadn't been home the whole weekend before. (Been in Boston)
5:30 we left the house for Spirit of America. This is the 4th of July celebration the our church puts on for the community. Food, concessions, face painting, military tribute, music, bocce ball, lots and lots of bounce houses, fireworks, and lots of fun! The weather was perfect. We got to the park and set up our lawn chairs and blanket. Next the girls went through the face painting line twice. It's not just face painting anymore.

Tatum's legs. Flip flops on one leg and Uncle Sam on the other.

Next, it was time for the bounce houses. While they were in line for the super big slide, my mom and dad called to say they were there. We met up with them and took them back to set up their chairs. We were starving so it was hot dog and nachos time!! Super cheap food there. There are also glow necklaces for super cheap.
Not too much longer until fireworks. When it gets time, all the lights in the park go out. All the kids start twirling their glow necklaces and it looks amazing. I wish I could capture that on camera.
They really do have the best fireworks!! So many and right to the music. I just LOVE the 4th of July!!!! What a fun day with the family.
