First of all - Tatum danced!!!!! She was a bit shy about it, but she moved arms and feet and she smiled on stage. yay!!
I picked the girls up on Friday and we went to McDonalds for a quick dinner. Then on to the high school to get ready for the dress rehearsal. Super hot day, too. Dave got there just about 5:30 and Tatum danced about 5:35. After that we pretty much waited around keeping ourselves busy because Syd's dance is almost at the end. A huge thunderstorm came through so we watched that for a bit. Syd dance just about 9:15 and then we were on our way home.
Saturday we just hung out in the morning until it was time to leave to be at the high school at noon. Dave went and got us some food at Burger King. We ate and then it was time for Tatum to start getting ready. Mike got there and waited in line with Dave to get seats in the auditorium.
Show started at 2:00 and Tatum was #3. She did great!! Looked a little nervous, but she did so good. I went back and got her changed, got Syd all set. Then Tate and I went back to sit in the auditorium until Syd was on. Syd was #21 in act 2. Her whole class did great. Everyone loved the lift at the end of her dance. We took them out to dinner with Mike and my parents after.
Stared working on the two turtle costumes for Sydney's play at school after putting the kiddos to bed. Somehow managed to fashion a turtle shell out of cardboard, green felt, green fabric, brown felt. Looks pretty good if I do say so myself. I have the blister on my finger from the hot glue gun to prove it. ouch!! At 3:00 am my coordination just isn't what it should be.
