Juggling Ice Cream and Worms (August 15th-17th)

So we didn't actually juggle the ice cream... but we did try to learn how to juggle. On Friday, after picking the girls up from daycare, we went to Hamlin Beach to see Michelle and Adam. They were camping there and we went to have dinner with them and hang out by the fire. This is when we learned that Michelle can juggle!!! Who knew. (Michelle - if you are reading this, I have just told the secret). So of course I want to learn. I guess it is easier to learn with slower moving objects like scarves or plastic bags which we so happened to have. Well I wasn't quite getting the concept and of course Dave can't stand just sitting there so he comes over to show me how it is done.

This is Michelle showing us how to really juggle.

I got frustrated with the bags and tried the walnuts that we found at the campsite. See, I can juggle two of them!!! ha ha ha!!

Saturday morning Sydney asked if she could take the family out for ice cream later and we all said YES. We went to Partyka Farms which wasn't all that far away.
They have Perry's ice cream, which made me very happy. I LOVE mint ting-a-ling ice cream. None of that mint chocolate chip stuff for me. You know exactly what I'm talking about if you are a mint ting-a-ling fan. It has these little cookie type pieces instead of chocolate chips. Yum!!

There is a play area for kids and in the play area is this long black tube thing. The girls were inside and Dave rolled them across the lawn and they screamed like little girls the whole way.

Syd had some money left over and found these liquid sugar treats she had to have, which Tatum had to have. We used to eat these when we were little. They are shaped like bottles and made out of wax. You bite the top off and drink the kool-aid type liquid out.

Dave has this worm breeding contraption and we needed some worms for it. First we soaked the front yard for quite awhile. Then when it got dark we all went out and hunted for worms. Dave looked for his while on the phone with his mom & dad.

I think Tatum was hoping the worms would just jump into her cup.

After awhile out digging for worms I glanced down and happened to notice that I had a friend on my boot - Mr Slug - Yuck.

On Sunday, we went to Godfrey's Pond with my Mom & Dad. We had a blast fishing. We all caught fish this time, including my mom. This wasn't her best moment, but it was the funniest. There really is a fish in there!!! Don't worry, the fish was not harmed. Dave was right there to rescue it off after I stopped laughing long enough to take the picture. Fishing is always a good time with my mom or my dad.
