Pumpkin Cats Beautified

My mom got the nicest real pumpkins for Syd and Tate a few weeks ago. They are sitting all nice and pretty on our front step. Day after day they keep asking to carve the pumpkins and day after day, I keep saying not yet. So I explain that they will not last long after we carve them and we should wait. This routine is getting a bit tiresome.

My mom and I were shopping at Michaels Craft store and we saw these cute craft pumpkins that you can decorate or carve. They are made out of some semi squishy weird material. They also sold kits that you could decorate the pumpkins with and I got two cat ones. I figured this would hold them over until we could carve the real thing....and I was right. They loved it.

The kit had all foam pieces that had sticky sides and pipe cleaners that poked into the pumpkin. No glue needed for the kit. Here are the pumpkin cats.


But we decided to get a little more creative and get into my craft supplies. So the girls added some extra flowers and jewels. They beautified the pumpkin cats.
