Ch-Ch-Ch-Chia

Does anyone remember those really corny Chia Pet commercials? (Besides my sister. We used to make fun of them.) Ch-Ch-Ch-Chia.

At the Springdale Farms Harvest Fest, the kids made a homemade version of the Chia Pet.
grass seed
pine shavings
potting soil
nylons
googly eyes

Place shavings into foot section of stocking so that it makes a head shape. Place a bit of soil next and then seeds (lots if you want lots of "hair"). Knot off the top and decorate as you wish. Place upright (seeds on top) on a small plate and in the windowsill for lots of sun. Water daily! Then watch the hair grow

The hair became a bit out of control, but the kids had a blast watching it grow.
