Decorating the Christmas Tree

Nothing is very quiet or organized when you have:
3 dogs
2 really big containers of Christmas decorations
2 kids
1 Snickerdoodle (cat)
1 HUGE container of ornaments
1 tree that seems to have a mind of its own

Here are some pictures from the tree and house decorating. There was just a weee bit of chaos as the dogs decide it is time to chase each other and the cat decides she wants to assist with the lights and sparkly garland for the tree. I was trying to keep an eye on Snickerdoodle and trying to get the garland on the tree in some sort of orderly fashion. All I kept seeing was the cat's eyes very focus on the garland dangling near her and the "I need to attack it" look on her face.

The girls were both pulling out Christmas decorations and saying "Mom, look!!!!" faster than I really could get a good look, while maintiaining a watchful eye on the cat. Next, we added ornaments to the tree. About halfway through, the tree started tipping. Dave got down and started to adjust the tree stand more. This is when he mumbled something about too many ornaments. Of course, us ladies just ignored this and kept adding. Tatum was stepping over him to add more. Did I mention that the dogs were all still chasing each other during this? The cat was now trying to figure her best way to get to the top of the tree.

After repositioning the ornaments to distribute the weight better and tying the tree to a nearby shelf....our tree was done. It is beautiful!!!
Here are some pictures after the tree was all decorated. It took a little bit to get a picture.

Van Gogh got too tired from all the picture taking - decided to take a little nap.
