Snickerdoodle's new freedom

Snickerdoodle has been meowing at the door to go outside when we are all outside. So.....we let her out the other day to see what she would do. The first time she pretty much just stayed in the garage and laid in the sun. The next time, she gets a bit more adventurous and starts chasing bugs and anything that flies. Then she is running from the shed, to the garage, behind bushes and loving every minute of it. That is until I see Van Gogh and Tucker standing at the bottom of a tree whining. I'm figuring it must a squirrel. That's when I hear the meowing. I'm looking around to see where it is coming from and realize......she's in the tree. Great.
I walk over to the tree and look up. Sure enough - there she is up in the tree dancing back and forth trying to figure out how to get down and avoid the boys eagerly waiting for her. She is looking at me and meowing like crazy.

They were all wrestling right below her....hmmmmm...and I wonder why she didn't want to come down. Tucker's face is hilarious in this picture.

Dave is now on his way (because I called him over to get Snickerdoodle down) to the rescue.

He is now assessing the situation.

Here is the video of the dramatic rescue. The part you don't see is at the very end he tosses her to the ground from up in the tree. Snickerdoodle was flying through the air, I was nervous, and the dogs were disappointed she was gone. Cats really do land on their feet.

Now it's time to investigate under my car. The world is a happy place again.
